Duties & Responsibilities

• The Industrial Relations (IR) is a vital role in the Human Resources team and the business. The role requires working closely with the broader Human Resources team to deliver excellent quality service to the business. This role is responsible for providing support in the various human resources functions, which include recruitment, labour relations, training and development, performance monitoring and employee benefits. The IR advises on and implements policies relating to the effective use of human capital within an organisation. • Conduct exit interviews and keep records for reporting • Filing and safe keeping of terminated / dismissed employee files • To ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to. • Ensuring HOD’s and staff are adhering/complying with the rules and regulations of access control. • Assist managers and employees in their queries through the investigation and effective resolution of such matters. • Provide general support with regards to HR Administration and ensure that all related documents are recorded and maintained accordingly. • Maintain payroll information when required. • Responsible for payroll processing for the region allocated to • Prepare and maintain related payroll records and reports. • Manage leave planning and leave balances • Provide accurate and complete data with monthly reports • Maintain staff records and files in line with company standards • Processing of termination packs, UI19, Service Certificates, Provident Fund, and maternity packs • Manage all queries relating to all employee benefits (Pension and Provident); Medical Aid and UIF • Administer all payouts iro the above • Effective and timeous resolution of HR related queries directed to individual • Maintain all correspondence iro the above (filing) • Effectively manage head office based management files • Conduct random unit HR Audits • Administration for IR matters which include but not limited to scheduling of disciplinary hearings, maintaining a CCMA register

Skills and Competencies• Assertive with strong judgement and problem solving skills • Excellent people skills • Strong interpersonal and communicative skills (verbal and written) • Accuracy and attention to detail • Client service orientated • Sound knowledge & fully au fait with all labour related legislation • High level of computer literacy

• HR qualification

• 3 years’ previous experience as IR

• Knowledge of Educos an advantage
