Duties & Responsibilities
Effective management of the financial performance Revenue Growth: • Organic Growth achieved against budget Gross Margin Improvement: • Direct Labour control / % improvement • Direct Other cost reduction / % improvement • Profitability against budget Manage the department’s cash flow: • Debtors’ management / reduction • Capex spent vs. budget Effective management of operations Customer Focus: • Retention and customer satisfaction ratings Quality of Service: • Quality Audit rating, correction plan in place and implemented • Conformance with legal, company standards and requirements for tactical/riot/strike/events services • Proposals in place and signed Shared Best Practice: • Specific examples of implementation Effective management of staff Effective Organisation: • Organisational structure staffed • Tasks clearly defined and allocated • Staff turnover analysis, reduction of staff turnover Staff Development: • Succession Planning in place, updated and practiced Effective management of business development function Marketing Plan: • In place and integration with division’s marketing strategy ISO 9001; 14001 & 45001 – Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Standards • Adhere to the Thorburn Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) Management System’s Policies and Procedures as applicable to this position Ad Hoc • Any reasonable action requested by management
• Effectively and efficiently work under tight deadlines • Manage multiple priorities utilizing strong time management and project tracking skills • Work collaboratively with diverse, multi-location teams in a fast-paced environment • Ability to manage a number of projects and initiatives simultaneously Knowledge of: • South African security and events legislation • Operational Policy and procedures • HR Policy and procedures • Health and Safety legislation
Qualifications

• Grade 12/Matric • 8 years related experience • PSIRA Grade A Qualified • RIOT/Tactical/Strike/Events management qualification or equivalent • SAMTRAC qualification would be preferable • Computer proficient in MS office package • SA Drivers Licence • Business Firearm Competency • National Keypoint Accredited
